Our story
The building which currently houses Faro Story Spot first appears on a plan of the old town in 1790. There was a tavern (“taberna” in Portuguese) in this quarter that was known as “Pepa’s Tavern”, which was a favourite with fishermen who came here for nibbles and wine.
Take a seat on our open-air terrace and admire the splendid view of the cathedral while savouring our cuisine.
THE TAVERN MENU
Our menu is inspired by the symbiosis between the products, objects and materials of the Mediterranean Diet. You absolutely have to try our Mediterranean Diet Trio of bread, olive oil and wine. Called a “tiborna”, it consists of hot bread with virgin olive oil and Algarve oranges, served with a glass of the nectar of the gods or another drink of your choice.
